SEPTEMBER 8 HOSTED FOOTBALL RECEPTION – PLEASE JOIN US
Please join us for a Hosted BBQ Reception at the Chapter House on Saturday, September 8, 2012, before the Cal v. Southern Utah Football Gameday and MEET OUR NEW COLONY MEMBERS
Dear Beta Xi Brothers,
I am writing to share current news on our Chapter and Chapter House. I think the news is good and I encourage you to join us at the Chapter House on Saturday, September 8 for a hosted barbecue reception.
STATE OF BETA-XI CHAPTER
In April, our National Kappa Sigma Fraternity started to recolonize the Beta-Xi Chapter. Recolonizing is the initial effort to recruit new members in order to form a Chapter. We currently have 15 interested new members and recruiting will continue with the start of the 2012 Fall semester at Cal. The goal is to initiate a Chapter and occupy the Chapter House in Fall 2013.
SEPTEMBER 8 HOSTED RECEPTION – PLEASE JOIN US
We will have a hosted reception with drinks and barbecue on Saturday afternoon, September 8. We encourage you to come – meet members of the colony in an informal setting, enjoy meeting old and new alumni friends and enjoy our hosted cocktails and barbecue. We’ve planned the reception from pre-game at 11AM to post-game of 6PM. Please stop by, say hello to the new colony, enjoy lunch and see the renovated Varsity Room.
STATE OF BETA-XI CHAPTER HOUSE
We have renovated the Chapter’s historical archive in the Varsity Room. The Chapter House remains occupied by our tenant and remains in satisfactory condition. We plan some cosmetic improvements to be completed by Fall 2013.
PLEASE SEND US THE NAME OF A STUDENT YOU KNOW IS CURRENTLY AT CAL AND IS A GREAT CANDIDATE – a son, nephew or family friend is a Legacy who is interested in and would be a good candidate as a member of the new Beta-Xi Chapter. Please fill out our Recruitment Recommendation Form if you know of someone.
WE NEED YOU TO BE INVOLVED – SET THE STANDARD FOR BETA-XI – WE’RE REBUILDING A CHAPTER OF WHICH WE CAN BE PROUD.
As a reminder:
– The Chapter House on 2400 Warring is in good shape.
– Our Beta-Xi Housing Corporation is financially sound.
– We are now, and the initial assessment is positive.
– Compiling the History of Beta-Xi memorabilia is complete
We’ve built the foundation – please join us and continue our momentum!
